A Sweetheart Invitation

I am in the midst of some serious party planning. I could not be more thrilled. If I could turn this into a day job, I would in a heartbeat. Just like that. If any of you are in the STL area and need someone cheap, let me know. I'm interested.

As mentioned before, I'm the Maid of Honor in my best friend's wedding.

With this comes bridal showers, and all the adorableness that goes along with those two words. Now, some women hate showers. I love them. Every single second. There is nothing quite as girly.

In Aria's case we are having two showers. The first is in Nashville in just a few weeks. Most all of the details are a surprise.

Trust me. I've been dying to blog about all of it

I will be doing several fun party-themed posts after the showers happen. I want the parties to be very special for her!

However, since Aria has now received her invitation, I can share with you. This is my first attempt at card making, and I think it went quite well. Aria loves them and that's what  matters!

The shower is in February so I went with a sweetheart theme....

Aria loves all things vintage. So I used paper doilies to make them look like a vintage valentine, and vintage buttons.

Aria is also a very talented musician so I grabbed some vintage sheet music from the Salvation Army store and added that in as well..

Then, I added some natural colored card stock and hand stamped some cute song lyrics..
(These alphabet stamps are in the dollar bins at Michael's)

Here she is in all her glory....

Then I just repeated that about 27 times...
(Don't mind the rogue white heart. I ran out of red)

The invite details were printed on card stock, cut and glued to the back, then I put the cards in matching envelopes, sealed them with a heart sticker, a heart stamp, and off they went!!!

I'm pretty sure I pulled these cards off for well under a dollar a piece. Thank you Michael's coupons, and Wal-Mart valentine's day section!

I can't wait to share the rest of the details with you all!

Oh, and Aria...
I love you very much and I can't wait to gift you with two beautiful showers. Oh how I wish I could be in Nashville with you to enjoy every ounce of wedding planning. It kills me that I'm not. I love you to pieces. Don't get too stressed about anything. I'll be there soon  to help :)

Come back and see me!

I don't know if you are a favor kind of gal-but those little mini hand sanitizers all dressed up would be super cute. Easy and cheap! You could make them as elaborate or simple. Just a thought-didn't know if you already had the favor covered. You probably do-you are one of THOSE people. You know-the kind I really wish that I could be-On the ball, unforgetfull-kind, sweet-you know all the good qualities that a man looks for in a wife! :)
