My First Floral Design Arrangement

As many of you know, I am enrolled in a floral design program. This week we made our first arrangement. I hated it at first. Let me just tell you. Arranging is NOT as easy as I thought it would be. However, once I got home and cutsified my arrangement, I was ok with it.

I walked in to buckets full of fresh Gladiolas, what girl wouldn't be happy! Mine were red, not my first choice, but oh well!!!

And now for pictures...

Here's what it looked like when I brought it home from class. I hate it:
A girl in my bible study just had a little girl named Story (so cute), so I thought I would make this a gift for her by adding fun kid-like ribbon and a cute tag:

Here's the thing all together, not in love, not in hate:
Looks even nicer more open the next day:
I can't wait to keep learning, hopefully it will get easier!

Whatta ya think?

Come back and see me!

I think you did a great job! I really admire you for taking arrangement classes. It is on my "bucket list".

That ribbon container really makes it! That's a beautiful gift for a new baby and mom. I think it looks great for your first try. Better than anything I'd ever come up with. Can't wait to see more of what you do in class. Sounds like so much fun!

I love the scarf you got at target too! I'm going to have to go there. :)

How sweet! So creative, Kara. You should probably move to Nashville so we can do crafts together. I bet Mel and Aria wouldn't mind having you closer too! ;)
