Our Save the Dates are pretty much out, so now I can show them to you guys!
There's a story though, of course.
A few months before Jake and I started dating we went on a late night, very very random trip with a couple of friends to explore Elizabethtown, KY.
We all loved the movie, so it seemed like a good thing to do at 3:00 in the morning on Memorial day weekend, right? This trip is when Jake and I really started liking each other.I was too nervous to sit by him in the car. He was sad I didn't sit by him in the car.
We are trying to make an "E" with our hand, yikes.
So, in the movie there is a back story going on for the wedding of a couple named Chuck & Cindy. They have cardboard cut outs, t-shirts, coozies etc. all with the following "catch phrases"...
So, naturally we had to incorporate something like it with our wedding.
Enter the Save the Date.
Same idea and meaningful to us, but cuter:
I got these for a very good price at Wedding Paper Divas. They are the "Antique Etching" design.
I really love wedding planning.

That's so funny! I love that scene in the movie where they meet chuck and he's gets all weepy and emotional. Love that movie. The save the dates came out really cute!
Hey, maybe you can have a band play freebird while a flaming bird swoops over the reception :)

Very cute save the dates! I'm wedding planning now too, so it'll be fun to read about your ideas.
I am obsessed with Elizabethtown and your Save the Dates are the cutest thing I've ever seen. Also, I love that you are having an Avett Brothers January Wedding.
