A 101st Post GIVEAWAY!

Since I didn't have it all together to celebrate my 100th post! A 101st post celebration it is!!

I'm been racking my brain trying to come up with a giveaway that I think each and every one of you would love.

A magazine subscription?
A handmade treat?
A bag full of my "favorite things"?
A yarn and ornament wreath?

While all of these are good ideas, I think you will like what I'm about to tell you just a tad bit more.

I will be giving away....

drum roll please....

An itsy-bitsy-not so expensive....

SHOPPING SPREE!!!!

Ok the real deal is... I love Etsy.com. No, I don't have an Etsy store and to be frankly honest... I have never purchased ANYTHING on the site before, but I love spending way too much time looking at all the adorable lovelies. I always THINK about buying something, but I never do. So, over the next week I'll be sharing with you my favorite little Etsy finds.

And...

My very first Etsy purchase will be spent on one of YOU! My dearest blog readers!

In honor of 100 posts of blogging, and the little bits of inspiration I gather every day from each and every one of you,  I would like to gift you with an Etsy item of YOUR choice up to $50.oo (please no pieces of furniture that will cost me my savings to ship!)

Yep, YOU get to pick what you get for the giveaway! I told you that you would like it. Every girl loves to shop!

Here's how you enter. It's VERY difficult. :)

Leave me a comment on this post sharing WHO, WHAT, or WHERE inspires you.
(Make sure I have a way to email you to let you know if you win)

Want an extra entry?

Tell your blog readers about my giveaway, with a link to Inspired Kara, and leave me another comment letting me know you've linked...and there you go...double entries!

You'll have a FULL week to enter. The comments will close at the end of the evening next Tuesday, January 20th. Then, I'll randomly select a winner.

So there you have it. Hop to it. 50 bucks at Etsy!

Thank you so much for joining me here on my tiny little blog. I love each and every one of you.

Let the commenting and linking begin!!!

Come back and see me!
~Kara

Wow what a give-a-way,, I am inspired by soooo many bloggers,, from ones that craft & sew (all listed on my blog roll) to others that are inspiring with their words (mabelshouse and lifeingrace).. Thanks for sharing ,, I will definitely put the word out on my blog too! Love your blog by the way

That's more than an itsy bitsy shopping spree. That's a very generous amount! This is a little unconventional, but I'm inspired by the thrill of the hunt. I love finding something stuck in a corner or under a table in a second hand store, and then thinking of where it would fit in my house. A little backwards, but it works for me.

WOW what an amazing giveaway!! hmmm who/what insipres me most.
I would have to say my grandma. She is always fun- she takes me on shopping trips, teaches me to cook/sew, how to be patient, kind and loving. by the way how do i let you know an email address? could you just post a comment on my blog if i won?

trish said...

Oh my. This is a pretty amazing give a way! You were not kidding when you said that I would love it! :o) I spend a great deal of time glancing through Etsy. Those that inspire me the very most are other bloggers. A couple that come to mind are those who sew and feather their nests (on my blog side bar) but a real favorite to read is Mabel's House. I wait for her to post. :o)
My life has been richly blessed because of bloggers I have come in contact with. :o) Including you!
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne

THATS AMAZING! oh the things i would buy...the jewelry..anyways!
Thats great!

Who, what inspires me:
My great grandma. She's dead..but she's my "link to the past" I inherited her cameo, her old perfume bottles, her husbands class ring.
Also, My best friend, she inspires me with her great sense of style. She's always coming up with great fashion ideas.
Isaac Mizrahi inspires me with his idea to have an "inspiration board" a place to put random pieces of inspiration, fashion, paint swatches etc.
And....My pastor inspires me by bringing out God's word in a way that is real and new to me, and that is truly inspiring. Old movies inspire me and make me wish for an old time life style.
Anyways..im gonna post this on my blog!

Trixi said...

Oh, my, my this is quite the giveaway. As you know from reading my last post, I would love to get a little something from the Susie Harris Etsy shop. Oh, the things I could spend $50.00 on. It would be a blast.
As for inspiration, I am inspired daily by my Saviour Jesus Christ and the unimaginable love He has for each of us undeserving people. Then I would have to say my amazing family who also, I do not deserve. I see a trend here. I am so lucky. Thank you for having this great giveaway. I hope to get a chance to link to it!!

um... EXCITED!!!!!!!!

So many things are running through my head, but having just finished with the quarterly today I'd have to say people's servant heart. It was awe inspiring to see people start helping in areas without being asked. It says just so very much about a person's character; like the guy who helped set up the lunch table after seeing us start it. And, that was right after me telling him he'd have to wait to eat since he hadn't RSVPed. Just awesome!!!!

Anonymous said...

awesome giveaway! welll... a lot of things inspire me. First of all, Jesus inspires me. He is my Lord and my Saviour!

my best friend inspires me with her cheerfulness, my family inspires me, and my grandmother, who has taught me many, many things. Also, fashion inspires me to be creative.

I don't have a blog, but i will comment on someone else's about your give-a-way.
this is an awesome giveaway! very generous!

I *love* Etsy!!!

DD just happened to message me with a "Cullen Crest" necklace - a pretty straightforward hint that she'd like it, lol.

I'm inspired by soooo many talented bloggers. Seriously. I can't hang. But I'm hoping that by soaking up enough of it through my eyes, I'll eventually glean a bit of talent.

Great give away & blog!

Katie said...

ps... I just linked to you on my blog!!!

While you're out browsing around check out Bienvenue's shop. Susie does some wonderful handpainted signs & of course Nester's tassels.
Thanks.

duchess said...

Ok - I'm all linked up.
Thanks, again.

Natasha said...

Oh my really, I will echo the words of what a give-a-way!! For me there are many things that inspire me espcially the incredible bloggers out there. But beneath that is my children. They are the reason that I began to express myself in the crafty/ sewing medium in the first place. They are why I try to create a more beautiful life for them to grow up in. So all inspiration begins and ends with four precious lives that have been gifted to me.

Julia Goolia said...

I'll bite on this one! Congrats on 101 posts, miss thang.

What inspires me: my patients at the hospital, each and every day. If you aren't sure what true love really is, just take a second to notice an elderly couple at a hospital: one is a patient, the other a loyal visitor. Some will even sleep on cots next to the hospital bed just to be close.

Imagine that the husband suffered a stroke 18 years ago, and ever since the wife has been taking care of him....lovingly, unselfishly, and without complaining. Sure she has to help him stand up, sit down, walk to the bathroom, get dressed, etc....but she does it without question because she loves him. To her, he's still the same young man she married nearly 60 years ago, just with a wicked limp and a bald head:) The way they look at each other with their wrinkly little faces, and the way they hold hands when nobody else is in the room inspires me to be a better person.

It makes me rush home and hug my husband because you never know what lies in the future. But loving someone so deeply and so unselfishly inspires me, every day.

Melissa said...

Hi Kara, I stumbled upon your blog one day and just love checking in every now and then and seeing what has recently inspired you!

As for what inspires me, I'd have to say reading blogs! I'm a big foodie and I love going to other's food blogs to get ideas and thoughts on what to bake next. Hope I win - great giveaway!!

cindysherritt said...

Finding all these great blogs is making me giddy! Angie Smith with her blog "Bring on the Rain" inspires me, because she is a woman on fire for God. My husband because he is a man after God's heart, and because he loves me and makes me, a better me. And lastly, my mom, who has just entered a nursing home - it isn't ideal, but the grace she shows is very humbling.

What a generous heart you have, little lady! This is my very first visit to your blog and what a surprise! I am also new to Etsy, which is the coolest thing around other than blogland.
I am inspired and touched by the community of bloggers, and how they encourage each other to do more. How bloggers inspire one another each and every day to do what we love, whether it is decorating, cooking, or just sharing our everyday lives.
Hope I am the lucky winner! I want Nester's tassels...

I heart Etsy, too!
I find inspiration in photographs (mostly from blogs).
I like to periodically de-junk my house. I go around and box up anything and everything that I don't love or am bored looking at.
This gives me open space (which I love). I then can rearrange, replace and find things that I TOTALLY LOVE!
I get ideas from blogs to improve what I have by rearranging, spray painting, adding some little doo-dad that switches up the hum-drum.
I love the sharing of ideas! Thanks!

My inspiration comes from real "everyday" people who have it together. I love when people post before/after of a room they just redid and the house looks like it came out of a magazine shoot. Or I love when people take a simple dress and jazz it up with accessories to make it their own. Finally, those who can make things with their own artistic skills really impress me since I can't sew or craft well. I do ok with scrapbooking but anything else leaves me clueless.

Those real people doing amazing things to style their life are my inspirations. Great blog. I look forward to browsing some more...

All of your adorable crafty projects are just too cute, and the fact that they're made with your love is even better. The way you commiserate with me on the waiting for engagement thing, inspires me to not get upset that it hasn't happened yet. Not to mention your patience in listening to me vent about my current situation. Your encouragement there has been priceless. Plus you inspired me to finally stop being a lazy cow by going to kickboxing with me. So my new found energy and slightest sign of tone is all because of you. ;)

Crafty blogs inspired me. I like to just browse through them. Also, perusing Etsy for fabric...love it! My favorite fabric shop on Etsy is Oriental Fabrics. I love the cute Japanese prints.

Never enough fabric,

What a great giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity! Here's my email. mrscresswell [at] hotmail.com

I'm often inspired by magazines, good photography and other's great ideas. I try to tweak them to make them my own. I'm not always the most creative one in the bunch. :) But I try.

Hi! Congrats on your 101rst post! I've never bought anything from etsy, but when I make something I check to see if anyone else is making money off of selling it! I'm not into mass producing things, so I doubt I'll ever open up my own shop. I'm inspired by making beautiful things by reusing, repurposing, recycling items.

Great idea! I too am an etsy browser and have yet to commit to a purchase. I have to say though that it is one of the things that inspires me. My mom and I always love to look at cute boutiques and stores and see if we couldn't make a version of the things we saw ourselves. Sometimes they come out great other times not so much but other people's creativity always inspires mine. I also have a very creative BF so I leech of her ideas. P.S I made your sour cream coffee cake! Yumm!

What a great give-away! I really get inspired by browsing etsy, looking through my magazines and making tear sheets, and by checking out other fantastic blogs. The biggest inspiration, tho is my mom who sews, crochets and felts the most beautiful items. I have several things all over my house that I love to show off to whoever comes over.

Great giveaway sweet pea!

Honestly... what inspires me? All of the fabulous people in my life. I am inspired by my J, by my friends and family. I feel like I can find something wonderful in each person that I am touched by and am able to create something to touch them back.

What goes around, comes around... passing on the kindess is key.

:)

oxox sweet pea!

Volunteers inspire me. I work for a non-profit and I am always amazed at the number of people who are willing to give up their time for no pay to help out.

Amazing give away! I love Esty too, but have never actually purchased anything either. The creativity on display there is inspiring for sure. I also find inspiration on other blogs, in magazines, in thrift stores, and antique shops. I came to your blog from Whisperwood Cottage. I live in MN too.

I am inspired by anyone who makes an effort to make other people feel comfortable, whether it's a inviting and hospitable home or by their simple and giving attitudes towards others. I see this extra effort as a way for everyone to be happier.

I want that rustic wooden picture frame!

I am inspired by kindness. I feel like these days it is rare to find genuinely kind people...it seems like everywhere I go, people are just plain rude! So kindness always puts me in a good mood and energizes me!

WOW! I am inspired by the loads of bloggers who are far more creative than I am; my mom, who I call the OG Junker; and the loveliness of timeworn things!

Your giveaway is beyond belief! What I could do (and have done) with $50 on etsy..... I'll dream a lot tonight! XOX

Congratulations! I love the look of your site! I'm inspired by so many things, but probably most of all by nature. I'm rather passionate about colors, and there are just so many naturally occurring mixtures and vibrancies that I couldn't have imagined without seeing a particular landscape or flower. Nature and color also have so much influence on mood, being anywhere from exhilarating to calming.I could go on about it forever, but I won't. ^_~
