Because it's not about the decorations...

Can you imagine what she was feeling?

Carrying the son of God?

One week till his birth?

Do you think she was scared?

Can you imagine the anticipation? That's the anticipation we should have throughout the sesason. The coming of our King.

Let's dillegently focus our attention this upcoming week on the weightiness of Christmas.

I love this song....

I have traveled many moonless nights,
Cold and weary with a babe inside,
And i wonder what i've done.
Holy father you have come,
And chosen me now to carry your son.

I am waiting in a silent prayer.
I am frightened by the load i bear.
In a world as cold as stone,
Must i walk this path alone?
Be with me now.
Be with me now.

Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven.

Do you wonder as you watch my face,
If a wiser one should have had my place,
But i offer all i am
For the mercy of your plan.
Help me be strong.
Help me be.
Help me.

Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.

Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven.

Come back and see me

That's one of my favorites too. Especially the Amy Grant version. I think a lot of us get a rush out of seeing Christmas through the eyes of a child, but after having a child of my own I have a renewed sense of the events, and I often wonder what Mary was thinking too. Thanks for sharing!

Love that song! We talked about what Mary & Joseph were going through during the time before Jesus' birth at church last week. It's too bad so many people loose sight of what Christmas really is about! That is one reason I chose not to teach my girls about Santa...instead they know it's about Jesus and any gifts they get is from their hardworking mom & dad not some man in a red suit. Hey, don't forget about my cookie recipe exchange...come link a cookie recipe.

Thanks for the reminder of the season. Those are beautiful lyrics and they sounds familiar but I couldn't quiet remember the toon. The local Christian Radio station here in Houston has been playing Christmas Music since Thanksgiving. It REALLY puts me in a thankful CHRISTmas mood. I like your thoughts about Mary...and I've found myself more and more this year thinking about her and her baby, Jesus. The fact that he was in human form, but was who is was is just amazing! Have a blessed season!

I love the song, Mary Did You Know.

Kenny Rogers and Wynonna Judd. It makes me cry big honkin tears every time I hear it. I can not imagine the faith she must have had to let her son go through that without trying to change his mind.

I love this song, but haven't heard it this year on the radio yet. Thanks for reminding me about it. Must go find it on Youtube now.
