I need a new desk. My desk is tiny, ugly, and all around just puts me in a bad move. With a recent move, I figure what better time to "re vamp" my office space.
SOOOOOOOO
Who has "made" "re-made" "re-purposed" a desk?!
I need some creativity for desk ideas. I do not want to just go buy a standard desk. Ideally my desk would be HUGE (lots of room for projects) and distressed, and maybe made of barn wood. I've even considered converting an old kitchen table to a desk/work space. I also love/adore anything in that oh-so-wonderful shabby chic style.
Ok get your noggins running and help a girl with some BRILLIANT desk ideas and inspiration.
What should I use for my desk?
What do you all use for your desk/projects?
Come back and see me!

I really like the ones where they use an old door as the top. Generally a shelf (or two) are used for the legs. I'm sure you could find some great finds. Maybe paint it white and distress it a bit.
Yeah I totally just bought a great corner desk at wal-mart. You're way too creative for that! But incase you give in, mine looks amazing and was only $45!
Ok, on a totally different subject, would you mind sharing with me your recipe for Christmas Crack?!! I saw it on your cooking blog and it looks really yummy!!
P.S. Happy to have found your blogs - lots of cute ideas!
hi! i stumbled on your blog from another site. i love your blog! hmmm...desk...one time in a BH&G magazine they turned a table into a desk...new coat of paint, and used a really cute material to make a skirt on the 3 sides. can't wait to see what you come up with!
be sure to swing by The Pink Potpourri...we are currently hosting a Favorite Things Swap and would love for you and your friends to be a part of it!
I am in love with the table that you are considering, for your desk. It is great to have room to spread out. I have a farm house table, that this fall will be revamped! I can not decide on white or black with plenty of sanded edges and character additions. I sure have enjoyed your blog!

I'm back! The desk I'm using is a beautifully shaped Ethan Allen desk I picked up at a flea market for $75. I painted it black and distressed it then rubbed over the distressed areas with a wood stain minwax. Then I put an applique to the front of the desk....it's hard to get a picture of it but once I get the office re-done (another project in my never ending list!) I'll put a picture on my blog. It looks really nice.
