Nashville's Hidden Treasure

There is one thing I crave more than anything in the world.

And, it's really only served in one place, Nashville.

Two words that make my heart leap a little: fruit. tea.

(This is about the ONLY picture I could find of real fruit tea. Found here)

No, this is not "raspberry iced tea" or "peach tea" this is a lil' southern concoction all of its own and it's heaven...in my mouth. I think of it daily and I'm so not kidding.

There are a few places you can get said tea. These are among my favorites (if you are ever visiting the Nash)

Bar b Cutie has it (and a drive thru to boot!)

Food & Company has it and it's DELICIOUS DELICIOUS DELICIOUS

And Calypso Cafe has it, plus AMAZING Jerk Chicken and sweet potatoes

Fruit tea is sweet tea, meets pineapple juice, meets orange juice, meets mint, meets all of Kara's drink cravings.

I made fruit tea at home off of this recipe once, and it came pretty darn close. Make it today. It's the perfect summer sippin' treat!

Nashville's Fruit Tea

Ingredients:

  • Tea bags for 2 gallons tea
  • 1 1/2 quarts boiling water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 (48-ounce) can pineapple juice
  • 1 (12-ounce) can frozen orange juice
  • 1 (12-ounce) can frozen lemonade
  • Toss in some mint for good measure

Preparation:

Place tea bags in bowl or pitcher. Pour boiling water over tea bags. Add sugar, stirring to dissolve. Let tea bags steep in sugar water several hours or overnight. discard tea bags. Pour tea into a large bowl. Add juices, stirring well. Pour equal amounts into two one-gallon jugs. Add water to each to fill jug. Refrigerate. Shake well before serving.

UP.

It was FANTASTIC. It was a wonderful love story, and I may or may not have cried several times. I mean, who cries at a cartoon, really Kara?

But seriously.... I makes you want to fall in love a million times over...

Our theatre had it in 3D so I got to sport some kickin' shades...

Also, since we all know we can appreciate an adorable house. I wouldn't mind moving into the one from the movie right away please. thank you...
